Originally from the Tri-Cities area, Ms. Powell attended the University of Idaho where she focused her studies on Psychology and Sociology. With a desire to practice law and help children and families, in 2010, Ms. Powell earned her Juris Doctorate from Willamette University College of Law.

During her time at Willamette, she worked for the Oregon Department of Justice Child Advocacy Section representing the Department of Human Services/Child Welfare advocating for children in the foster care system. She continues to advocate for foster children in juvenile dependency proceedings as a volunteer CASA/Guardian ad Litem for the Benton and Franklin County Juvenile Justice Court.

Ms. Powell was admitted to the State Bar of Washington and Oregon, and therefore is the managing attorney of Pacific Northwest Family Law’s Walla Walla office. Ms. Powell is a dedicated and compassionate attorney focusing on all aspects of family law, including divorce, separation, custody, child support, division of property, relocation actions and spousal maintenance (alimony), and other family law related matters.

Ms. Powell joined the Pacific Northwest Family Law team because she believes in the vision the firm has for the community. She has dedicated her career to promoting resolution, not conflict.
