Pacific Northwest Family Law is built for professionals who take family law seriously.

We exist to help clients be family heroes by practicing law with preparation, judgment, and respect for the long-term consequences of legal decisions. That mission shapes not only how we serve clients, but how we build our team.

This is not a firm for everyone. It is a firm for people who want to do meaningful work, at a high level, with clarity about expectations and standards.

Specific openings, compensation ranges, and benefits are provided when positions are posted.

Why Work Here

Family law is often treated as secondary work in the legal profession. We reject that model.

At Pacific Northwest Family Law, family law is a serious specialty. We bring the discipline, structure, and strategic rigor of elite legal practice into work that directly shapes families, futures, and communities.

Our attorneys and professionals are trusted with matters that define people’s lives. That trust demands preparation, professionalism, and accountability. It also demands a workplace where judgment is respected and excellence is expected.

How We Practice Law

We practice within shared firmwide standards, guided by our CAPE values:

  • Communication
  • Accountability
  • Professionalism
  • Excellence

Attorneys at this firm are independent professionals. Legal judgment is informed by experience, training, and shared standards—not overridden by management layers or sales pressure.

We prepare thoroughly. We communicate clearly. We do not manufacture conflict, and we do not avoid it when it must be addressed. Litigation is a tool, not an identity.

If that approach resonates with you, you will likely thrive here.

Who Thrives at Pacific Northwest Family Law

People who do well at Pacific Northwest Family Law share a common approach to their work and to responsibility.

They take ownership of their cases, their tasks, and their decisions. They do not see themselves as victims of circumstance, opposing counsel, clients, or systems. When something is difficult, they look for what can be done next and take responsibility for doing it.

They value preparation and clarity. They understand that good outcomes are built through disciplined work, thoughtful planning, and direct communication. They are comfortable having difficult conversations early rather than postponing them and creating larger problems later.

They communicate professionally and directly. That includes clear written work, timely follow-up, and the ability to explain complex issues in plain language. They understand that how information is conveyed often matters as much as the information itself.

They are curious and open to doing things better. Experience is respected here, but it is not treated as a reason to stop learning. People who thrive at this firm are coachable. They are willing to examine their assumptions, refine their approach, and adopt better systems when they see them.

They are comfortable talking about money. They understand that legal work has real costs, and that clients deserve honesty about time, strategy, and expense. They respect the value of their own time, experience, and judgment, and they expect to be paid for their work. When appropriate boundaries cannot be maintained, they are willing to say no rather than compromise professionalism.

They manage their time intentionally, prioritize their work, and understand that sustainable practice requires structure. They know how to handle competing demands without chaos and how to protect their focus so that clients are well served.

They care about outcomes that last. They understand that family law work does not end when a case closes, and they approach decisions with an eye toward what clients will live with months and years later.

Pacific Northwest Family Law is a professional environment built for people who want to practice law—and support the practice of law—with discipline, judgment, and purpose.
